The Grand Egyptian Museum Egypt Program distribution proposal. 2002
This study grew out an intuition, that the discussion of the future development of the Netherlands, and in particular the Randstad and Green Heart, were acquiring a circular quality because they were too narrow based.
And not only too narrowly based, but also mired in ideological viewpoints that related to Housing or Urban Planning generally, that is Housing or urban Planning in the abstract internationally, without reference to the unique reality of the Dutch urbanism and infrastructure specifically. By recovering what we have at present abandoned to hydraulic engineers and cartographers I found both a mystery, the courage and foresight of claming this confrontational zone and a history of self invention by infrastructure.
The aim of this project was to develop an auxiliary level of understanding to supplement the planning debates and methodologies of today, on the Netherlands in general.

The web is such a rich source of information, but we only see a small fraction of what there is. Regular search engines work in a way that is highly selective: before information reaches the user, it has been processed by popularity ratings and filtered by personalized search profiles. But is the most popular result always the most valuable? Yooray’s analysis of information is based on its content, and not just on popularity.
The centre of Rotterdam has several squares, with each their own identity and characteristic appearance. The location of the New City-office has an inviting new square with its own quality. This square could organize and stimulate the area and complement the existing shopping and entertainment facilities. The use over time of building and squares has been studied and implemented with new routes, program and activities.
Visitors time is dominant the mutual element for all museums and exhibitions. Therefore the time spending in exhibitions is analysed and used to organise the exhibits in this proposal. Elcalators and ramps get you to the level of a curtain period, whilst there are different escalators as connectors between the themes in a time frame. Chronology time works from the front to the back of the museum, with the era’s themes ordered between the levels.
